Yes. We are able to perform both inside and outside, depending on the venue and available space. Prior to the event, we will work with both the client and venue to ensure there is sufficient room for fighting, audience viewing and safe operation for both spectators and performers.
As every venue is different, exact space requirements will vary depending on the package selected and the number of fighters involved.
Safety is our highest priority.
Our armour and weapons follow nationally recognised safety standards and are regularly inspected as part of competitive armoured combat leagues. We work exclusively with highly experienced fighters to ensure the safest possible environment for both participants and spectators.
That said, this is real full-contact competition involving genuine steel armour and weapons, so — as with any contact sport — there is always a small inherent risk involved.
To minimise this risk, we implement strict operational controls at every event, including:
Fighting in armour is physically demanding work, and fighter welfare is taken extremely seriously throughout every performance.
Our primary area of operation is Greater London and the South East of England, particularly:
Travel outside these areas can absolutely be arranged, although additional travel and accommodation costs may apply depending on the location.
No.
Whilst our events are carefully managed for safety and entertainment value, the combat itself is genuinely competitive. Our fighters are trained competitive athletes who regularly compete in national and international armoured combat tournaments.
Every duel has a real winner and loser, which creates a level of excitement and unpredictability that scripted performances simply cannot replicate.
The majority of our fighters come from Invicta Medieval Combat, one of the UK and Europe's leading competitive armoured combat clubs.
We compete in a sport known as buhurt — the Old French word for “tournament” — taking part in national and European competitions against other clubs on a regular basis.
Invicta operates training locations across Surrey, Kent and Sussex, and new members are always welcome. If you are interested in trying the sport yourself, we would highly encourage you to get involved.
Our standard packages are typically built around one to two hours of entertainment, although shorter and longer performances can both be arranged.
